Spanish Fashion Inspiration

With a theme of Spanish romance, a new exhibit will debut this weekend in New York.

Dominican fashion designer, Oscar de la Renta collaborated with André Leon Talley to illustrate his admiration of Spanish dress.

Valencian artist, Joaquín Sorolla inspire de la Renta’s collection for designs which resemble the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix and the late Alexander McQueen.

The Queen Sofia Spanish Institute in Manhattan will feature the striking and beautiful designer collection to bring to life the ideas of the set designer, Stefan Beckman.

If you’re looking for a cultural fashion getway this may be it as the exhibit will be displayed from this weekend to 10 March 2012. The address is 684 Park Avenue between East 68th & 69th Street. The closest train stop is 68 Street Hunter College/Lexington Avenue off the number 4 train, enjoy!

  1. I love Oscar de la Renta. His collections are amazing. I am a fashion lover as well and I like that he’s found a way to incorporate his heritage too, it’s very great. And good article too!
