The mystery begins to unravel when the lead inspector, Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) recognizes the crime details as references to Poe’s stories. Thus, Poe becomes a key element in the investigation. Directed by James McTeigue, the film has gruesome and bloody violence. The plot is over the place providing lots of information and suspense but no real suspects.
