At the Museum d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, I found one exhibition very moving today while exploring the Spanish city streets and avenues.
Luis Claramunt illustrated ‘el viaje vertical’ which is a journey through a drawing series based on a vertical wave during the early seventies.
Claramunt’s photographs and self-published books help to highlight his experimental art often associated with underground subcultures.
In his works, Claramunt depicts different atmospheres, places and environments with visual and literary art which at times is graphic yet inspires the viewer’s mind and spirit toward new abstract perspectives.
The exhibition is open until 21 October 2012. The admission is only €4.50. The museum is located on Plaça dels Àngels, 1, 08001 Barcelona, España.
