For the Christmas season, I created my own holiday photography campaign called 25 Days Girl In Red.
Between London and New York, I promoted holiday spirit with a variety of red items on social media.
Cool brands such as O.P.I., Hunter and Marc Jacobs were chosen. Then my favourite contemporary brands, rag & bone and Osklen are shown. Also, luxury brands including items Burberry, Givenchy, Hermes and Jimmy Choo were used. And of course, pieces bought during my travels were selected for selfies.
It was festive and fun! Posted below are a few of my snaps. Visit my Instagram: londonlady91 to see more.
A North London sound is inspiring the alternative rock world.
Originally a duo with Elie Roswell and Joff Odie as vocals and guitarists in 2010, soon Theo Ellis (bass) and Joel Amey (drums) joined to form an amazing quartet, Wolf Alice.
Then in 2012 the group posted a free download, “Leaving You” on Soundcloud. After that, BBC Radio 1 gave airplay to the single and NME featured their music which helped to increase their following.
Wolf Alice have close to 150,000 likes on Facebook, nearly 60,000 engaged on Twitter and 46,500 followers on Instagram. This band is on the verge of attracting an international audience.
In 2013, the band released “Fluffy”, “She” and “Bros” captured love in London. By the end of 2014, they were named “Best Breakthrough Artist” at the UK Festival Awards. The debut album, My Love Is Cool led to the band giving us the tracks, “You’re A Gem” and “Freazy” in spring 2015.
Mostly having indie pop and post grunge vibes, Wolf Alice uses electric elements to enhance their songs. It is great for those moments when you close your eyes and dance like nobody’s watching, feeling free.
The tune, “Giant Peach” below is my favourite which has been captivating ears since last summer 2015. It’s still on my mind and we’re in winter. Enjoy!
Directed by David Yates and written by J.K. Rowling, new adventures follow a writer, Newt Scamandar around New York’s secret community of witches and wizards numerous years before Harry Potter finds his book at Hogwarts. Are you ready for the magical journey at the cinema?
As the weather changes in autumn, it’s cool to have a statement piece for everyday wear.
For this season, I selected my “it” piece from the iconic British luxury brand, Burberry. From the heritage collection, The Kensington long-length women’s trench coat I’m wearing photographed below is in parade red, a festive and fun colour.
Made in England, the trench coat features buffalo horn buttons, epaulettes, gun flaps, classic D rings, cuff straps and a hook-and-eye collar closure. The item is fashionable and sophisticated. Amazingly tailored to the body, the fabric is 100% weatherproof cotton gabardine with calf leather trim and cotton lining. Therefore, it’s very breathable piece and great for layering. You can go from day meetings in a smart dress to relaxed leather leggings for drinks at night. Find your new luxury trench coat here.
